NYPD Officer Shot in the Back, Civilians Injured

One NYPD officer, assigned to a Bronx precinct and posted near the building, was shot in the back. Despite the injury, officials say the officer is expected to survive. One civilian is in critical condition, while another sustained injuries that are non-life-threatening, according to law enforcement officials.
